Affedilen kimsenin rahatlığı kadar, affeden de içindeki huzursuzluktan kurtulmuş olur.

The one who forgives is also freed from the unrest within, just as much as the one who is forgiven finds relief.

Şura Suresi 40. Ayetinde,

In Surah Ash-Shura, verse 40,

Bir kötülüğün karşılığı, onun gibi bir kötülüktür.

The equivalent of a wrongdoing is a wrongdoing like it.

It points to saying, "I seek refuge in Allah from the cursed devil's city."

Müşriklerden bir grubun Peygamberimize,

A group of polytheists approached our Prophet,

insanları çağırdığın din pek güzeldir.

The religion you call people to is very beautiful.

Eğer günahlarımıza kefaret olacağını söylersen kabul ederiz,

If you say that it will atone for our sins, we will accept it.

demeleri üzerine Furkan suresinin 68 ila 70. ayetleri nazil olmuştur.

Upon their statement, verses 68 to 70 of Surah Al-Furqan were revealed.

Ayet-i kerimelerde şöyle buyrulur.

It is stated as follows in the verses.

Onlar, Allah'la beraber başka bir ilaha kulluk etmeyen,

They do not worship any other deity besides Allah,

haksız yere Allah'ın haram kıldığı cana kıymayan ve zina etmeyen kimselerdir.

They are those who do not take a life unjustly forbidden by Allah and do not commit adultery.

Kim bunları yaparsa ağır azaba uğrar.

Whoever does these things will suffer severe torment.

Kıyamet günü,

The Day of Judgment,

onun azabı kat kat artırılır ve horlanmış olarak orada ebedi kalır.

His torment will be multiplied many times, and he will remain there forever, despised.

Ancak tevbe edip de inanan ve salih amel işleyenler başka.

However, those who repent, believe, and do righteous deeds are different.

Allah, işte onların kötülüklerini iyiliklere çevirir.

God indeed turns their evils into goodness.

Allah çok bağışlayandır, çok merhamet edendir.

God is very forgiving, very merciful.

Cennetten kovulan iblis,

The devil cast out of heaven,

Allah-u Teala'ya,

To Allah, the Most High,

''Senin izzetin ve celalin üzerine yemin ederim ki,

"I swear by Your glory and majesty that,"

ruhları bedenlerinde olduğu sürece Ademoğullarını saptırmaya devam edeceğim.'' demiş.

"I will continue to lead the children of Adam astray as long as their souls are in their bodies," he said.

Allah da,

God too,

''İzzet ve celalim hakkı için ben de onlar af diledikçe onları affedeceğim.'' buyurmuştur.

"By the right of My honor and majesty, I will forgive them as long as they ask for My forgiveness."

Bu kadar merhametli olan Allah'ın affına sığınmak için,

To seek the mercy of Allah, who is so compassionate,

affedici olmak güzel bir yöntemdir.

Being forgiving is a beautiful method.

''Allah affeden bir kulunun ancak şerefini artırır.'' diyen Peygamberimiz

"Our Prophet who said, 'Allah only increases the honor of a servant who forgives.'"

şahsi meselelerinden dolayı kimseyi cezalandırmamıştır.

He has not punished anyone due to personal issues.

Yaptıkları eziyetler sonucu terk etmek zorunda kaldığı memleketine,

Due to the torment they inflicted, to the homeland he was forced to leave,

muzaffer bir ordu komutanı olarak girdiğinde,

when he entered as a victorious army commander,

to the people of that place,

Peygamberin kardeşlerine dediği gibi diyorum.

I say as the Prophet said to his brothers.

There is no condemnation for you.

O merhametlilerin en merhametlisidir.'' demiştir.

"He is the most merciful of the merciful."

Fusilet suresi 34. ayette,

In verse 34 of Surah Fussilat,

''İyilikle kötülük bir olmaz.

"Goodness and evil are not the same."

Kötülüğü en güzel bir şekilde sav.

Defend evil in the most beautiful way.

Bir de bakarsın ki,

You might find that,

seninle arasında düşmanlık bulunan kimse,

"Whoever has enmity between you,"

sanki sıcak bir dost oluvermiştir.'' buyrulmaktadır.

"It is said that he has suddenly become like a warm friend."

Buna güzel bir örnek zikredelim.

Let’s give a good example of this.

Peygamberimizi öldürmeye kasteden Sümame isimli zatı,

The person named Sümame who intended to kill our Prophet,

Efendimiz affetmiş,

Our lord has forgiven.

bunun üzerine hayrete düşen Sümame,

Sümame, who was astonished by this,

''Ey Muhammed!

"O Muhammad!"

Vallahi yeryüzünde bana senin yüzünden daha sevimsiz bir yüz yoktu.

I swear there is no face on earth more unpleasant to me than yours.

Şimdi senin yüzün bütün yüzlerden sevimli oldu.'' diyerek,

"Now your face has become more charming than all the faces." he said,

hislerini ifade etmişti.

he had expressed his feelings.

Bu sözlerdir!

These are the words!

Affetmek,

Forgiveness,

affedici olmak,

to be forgiving,

Let us conclude with a prayer belonging to our Prophet.

Rasûlullah Aleyhissalâtü Vesselam,

The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him,
