And do not insult those whom they invoke besides Allah, lest they insult Allah in hostility and without knowledge.

كَذَٰلِكَ زَيَّنَّا لِكُلِّ اُمَّةٍ عَمَلَهُمْ ثُمَّ اِلٰى رَبِّهِمْ مَرْجِعُهُمْ

Thus We have made pleasing to each community their deeds. Then to their Lord is their return.

ثُمَّ اِلٰى رَبِّهِمْ مَرْجِعُهُمْ

Then to their Lord is their return.

ثُمَّ اِلٰى رَبِّهِمْ مَرْجِعُهُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

Then to their Lord is their return, and He will inform them of what they used to do.

Allah'tan başkasına

To anyone other than Allah.

When he said to his father and his people, "What are these idols?"

مَا هٰذِهِ التَّمَاث۪يلُ الَّت۪ي اَنْتُمْ لَهَا عَاكِفُونَ

What are these idols to which you are devoted?

قَالُوا وَجَدْنَا اٰبَاءَنَا لَهَا عَابِد۪ينَ

They said, "We found our forefathers worshipping it."

Hani o babasına ve kendi toplumuna

Where is that to his father and his own society?

sizin tapınmak için başına üşüştüğünüz bu heykeller de neyin nesi?

What are these statues that you flock to worship?

dediği zaman onlar şöyle cevap verdiler.

When he said that, they responded as follows.

Atalarımızı onlara kulluk eden birileri olarak bulduk.

We found our ancestors as someone who served them.

قَالَ لَقَدْ كُنْتُمْ اَنْتُمْ وَاٰبَاءُكُمْ ف۪ي ضَلَالٍ مُّب۪ينٍ

He said, "Indeed, you and your forefathers were in clear error."

Dedi ki, doğrusu siz de atalarınız da

He said, "Indeed, you and your ancestors also..."

başından beri açık bir sapıklık içinde

Since the beginning, in a clear perversion.

içindeymişsiniz.

You were inside it.

قَالُوا اَجِئْتَنَا بِالْحَقِّ اَمْ اَنْتَ مِنَ اللّٰعِب۪ينَ

They said, "Have you come to us with the truth, or are you one of the players?"

Dediler ki, sen bunları söylerken gerçekten ciddi misin?

They said, are you really serious when you say these things?

Yoksa bize şakacıktan bir oyun mu oynuyorsun?

Or are you playing a joke on us?

قَالَ بَا الرَّبُّكُمْ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ الَّذ۪ي فَطَرَهُنَّ وَاَنَ عَلَى ذَٰلِكُمْ مِنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ

He said, "But your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, who created them, and I am among those who witness this."

İbrahim asla dedi,

Ibrahim never said,

Sizin Rabbiniz göklerin ve yerin Rabbidir ki

Your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth.

onları O yaratmıştır

He created them.

ve ben de bu gerçeğe tanıklık etmek için

and I too, to witness this reality

size gönderilen biriyim.

I am someone sent to you.

وَتَلْلٰهِ لَاك۪يدَنَّ اَصْنَامَكُمْ بَعْدَ اَنْ تُوَلُّوا مُدَبِر۪ينَ

"By Allah, I will surely scheme against your idols after you have turned and gone away."

Derken İbrahim içinden şu kararı aldı,

Then Ibrahim made this decision in his heart,

Allah'a yemin olsun ki

I swear to God that

siz dönüp gittikten sonra putlanırsanız

If you are deified after you leave.

karınız için tasarladığım şeyi mutlaka gerçekleştireceğim.

I will definitely make what I designed for your wife.

فَجَعَلَهُمْ جُذَاذًا اِلَّا كَب۪يرًا لَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ اِلَيْهِ يَرْجَعُونَ

And He made them into pieces, except for a big one among them, so that they might return to it.

Nihayet onların tümünü paramparça etti.

Finally, he shattered all of them into pieces.

Dönüp de kendisine başvurabilsinler diye

So that they can turn back and refer to him.

onların en iri yarı olanına dokunmadı.

He didn't touch the biggest one among them.

قَالُوا مَنْ فَعَلَ هَذَا بِآلِهَتِنَا

They said, "Who has done this to our gods?"

اِنَّهُ لَهُمْ مَنْ فَعَلَ هَذَا بِآلِهَتِنَا

Indeed, it is he who has done this to our gods.

اِنَّ مِنَ الْظَالِم۪ينَ

Indeed, among the wrongdoers

Olan bitene vakıf olunca birbirlerine dediler ki

When they became aware of what was happening, they said to each other,

kim yaptı bunu ilahlarımıza?

Who did this to our gods?

Her kimse onun haddini bilmez biri olduğu apaçık ortada.

It is clear that anyone who is someone does not know their limits.

قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا فَتًا يَذْكُرُهُمْ يُقَالُ لَهُ اِبْرَاهِيمُ

They said, "We heard a young man mentioning them; it is said that his name is Abraham."

Onlardan bazıları

Some of them

adına İbrahim denilen bir gencin

a young man named İbrahim

onları diline doladığı kulağımıza kadar geldi dediler.

"They said it reached our ears by the way they twisted their tongues."

قَالُوا مَنْ فَعَلَ هَذَا بِآلِهَتِنَا

They said, "Who has done this to our gods?"

قَالُوا فَأْتُوا بِهِ عَلَىٰ اَعْيُنِ النَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْهَدُونَ

They said, "Then bring it forth before the people so that perhaps they may witness."

Diğerleri dediler ki

They said the others.

onu insanların önüne çıkarın.

Show him to the people.

Belki görgü şahitliği yapacak birileri çıkar.

Maybe there will be some witnesses.

قَالُوا اَأَنْتَ فَعَلْتَ هَذَا بِآلِهَتِنَا يَا اِبْرَاهِيمُ

They said, "Did you do this to our gods, O Abraham?"

Getirerek

By bringing

İlahlarımıza bunu sen mi yaptın ey İbrahim?

"Did you do this to our gods, O Abraham?"

diye sorguladılar.

They questioned it.

قَالَ بَلْ فَعَلَهُ كَب۪يرُهُمْ هَذَا فَاسْأَلُوهُمْ اِنْ كَانُوا يَنْطِقُونَ

He said, "No, rather it was this big one who did it. So ask them if they can speak."

İbrahim hayır dedi.

Ibrahim said no.

Bunu yapsa yapsa şu en iri yarı olanı yapmıştır.

If anyone were to do this, it would be the biggest and strongest one.

En iyisini siz kendilerine sorun.

Ask them for the best.

Tabi ki eğer cevap verebilirlerse.

Of course, if they can answer.

فَرَجَعُوا اِلَىٰ اَنْفُسِهِمْ فَقَالُوا اِنَّكُمْ

"Then they returned to themselves and said, 'Indeed, you are...'"

اَنْتُمُوا الْظَالِمُونَ

You are the wrongdoers.

Bunun üzerine kendi iç dünyalarına döndüler ve kendi kendilerine

On this, they turned inward to their own inner worlds and to themselves.

Siz var ya siz dediler.

They said you, you.

İşte asıl haddini bilmezin ta kendisisiniz.

Here you are, the very embodiment of not knowing your place.

ثُمَّ نُكِسُو عَلَىٰ رُؤُسِهِمْ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَمَا هَاٰئِ يَنْطِقُونَ

Then we will turn their heads upside down; indeed, you both know well what they are saying.

Fakat daha sonra.

But later.

Sonra baş aşağı çevrilmiş bilinç haline geri dönerek

Then, returning to the upside-down state of consciousness.

''Doğrusu onların konuşamayacağını kendin de çok iyi biliyorsun.'' dediler.

"They said, 'You know very well that they cannot speak.'"

İbrahim ''Ne yani?'' dedi.

Ibrahim said, "What do you mean?"

Şimdi siz Allah'ı bırakıp da size hiçbir yarar sağlayamayan

Now, you have left God and turned to those who cannot provide you with any benefit.

ve hiçbir zarardan da koruyamayan nesnelere bakıyorsunuz.

And you are looking at objects that cannot protect you from any harm.

Neye mi kulluk ediyorsunuz?

What do you worship?

Size de Allah'ı bırakıp taptığınız bütün bu nesnelere de yuh olsun.

May all these objects you worship instead of Allah be cursed as well.

Siz hiç mi akıllanmayacaksınız?

Will you never learn?
