I seek refuge with Allah from the expelled devil.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Elhamdülillahi Rabbil Alemin

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.

Vessalatü ve etemmütteslimu ala seyyidina Muhammedin ilmebuğthi rahmeten lil alemin

Peace and blessings be upon our master Muhammad, the messenger of mercy to the worlds.

Allahümme la sehle illa ma cealtehu sehle

O Allah, there is no ease except what You have made easy.

Ve ente tecealul hazne iza şiite sehle

And you can make the treasure if you wish, easily.

Allahümme allemna ma yenfa'una ve enfa'una bima'allamtana

O Allah, teach us what benefits us and benefit us with what You have taught us.

Vezitna ilman birahmetke ya erhamen rahmin

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Sebbeha lillahi ma fissemavati vel art

"Everything in the heavens and the earth glorifies Allah."

Ve huve alazizul hakim

And He is the Almighty, the All-Wise.

Lehu mulku semavati vel art

"To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth."

Yuhyi and Yumit

Ve huve alazizul hakim

And He is the Almighty, the All-Wise.

Allahümme ne soram adına

O Allah, what should I ask in Your name?

En derin, en son ve en ikinci

The deepest, the last, and the second.

ve her şeyden notionsuz

and you are without notions of everything

arrange beni

arrange me

Allahümme tek kaxis kadar yüzyıla ayet ne kase linedi

O Allah, how many times has a verse been sent down to last for a hundred years?

Gide bid'etine ve gerisi bir kez

"Go to the beginning and the rest once."

My uncertainly

Ne koyar, neyden çıkmaz

What does it put in, what does it not come out of?

Neye goz puan verir

What do you give eye scores to?

Allah'a şükürler olsun.

Thank God.

فَالَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ وَاَنْفَقُوا لَهُمْ اَجْرٌ كَب۪يرٌ

And those of you who believe and spend [in the cause of Allah], for them is a great reward.

وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ

And what is wrong with you that you do not believe in Allah?

وَالرَّسُولُ يَدْعُوكُمْ لِتُؤْمِنُوا بِرَبِّكُمْ

And the Messenger invites you to believe in your Lord.

وَقَدْ اَخَذَ مِيثَاقَكُمْ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِن۪ينَ

And He has taken your covenant if you are believers.

هُوَ الَّذ۪ي يُنَزِّلُ عَلَى عَبْدِهِ اٰيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ

He is the one who sends down clear verses to His servant.

لِيُخْرِجَكُمْ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ اِلَى النُّورِ

To bring you out of darkness into light.

وَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِكُمْ لَرَعُوفٌ رَّح۪يمٌ

And indeed, Allah is compassionate and merciful towards you.

İle ahirihi sadakallahu'l-azim.

And the end is, Allah, the Almighty, has spoken the truth.

Muhterem müminler, bu dersimizde inşallah

Esteemed believers, in this lesson, hopefully...

kulluk kitabımız Kur'an-ı Kerim'in 57. sırasında yer almış.

Our book of servitude is placed in the 57th position in the Quran.

İçinde demirden,

Made of iron,

bahsedildiği için hadid ismini almış,

It has taken the name Hadid because it was mentioned.

Medine devrinde nazil olmuş 29 ayetlik bir sureyi inşallah tanımaya başlayacağız.

We will hopefully start to recognize a 29-verse surah that was revealed in the Medina period.

Sureyi Allah bana ne dedi diye dinleyin.

Listen to what Allah told me about the surah.

Ben sadece Allah'ın dediklerini aktarmaya çalışan birisi olarak aradan çıkmaya çalışayım.

I will try to step aside as someone who is only trying to convey what Allah has said.

Sizi sure ile baş başa bırakayım.

hadid bilmeyen insanlardan farklı çıkmaya, farklı sabahlamaya çalışın.

Try to stand out from people who don't know geometry, try to wake up differently.

Yani yarınki hayatınızı bu sure düzenlesin inşallah.

So may this prayer shape your life tomorrow, God willing.

Hadidi bilen bir Müslümanın bunu bilmeyenlerden elbette farkı olacaktır.

A Muslim who knows Hadith will certainly be different from those who do not.

Zaten bunun için öğreneceğiz ya bu sureyi.

We're going to learn this surah for that reason anyway.

Yani hadid bilen bizimle,

So those who know Hadid are with us,

hadid bilmeyen insanlar arasında bir fark olmayacaksa,

if there is no difference between people who know and those who do not know,

o zaman niye okuyalım da bunu?

Then why should we read this?

Medine'de gelen 29 ayetlik tesbihatla başlayan bir sure.

A surah that begins with 29 verses of glorification revealed in Medina.

Bir adet geliştirdik.

We developed one.

Anlatıcı ve dinleyici diye.

Like a narrator and a listener.

Birileri hep anlatıcı, diğerleri de hep dinleyici.

Some are always narrators, while others are always listeners.

Şöyle olsa daha iyi olurdu.

It would be better if it were like this.

The friends over there used to be Taberi Ibn Abbas.

Razi,

Kurtubi,

Kurtuba,

İbni Kesir,

Yani bizden öncekiler bu sureyi nasıl anlamışlar?

So how did those before us understand this surah?

Bunu onlara sorup edip bir hafta boyunca bu sureyi araştırır gelirdik.

We would ask them about this and spend a week researching this chapter.

Allah en kısa zamanda bizi bu durumdan kurtarsın inşallah.

May Allah free us from this situation as soon as possible, hopefully.

Az önce dediğimiz gibi surenin ilk ayeti tesbihatla başlıyor.

As we just said, the first verse of the surah begins with glorification.

سَبَّحَ لِلّٰهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ

Everything in the heavens and the earth glorifies Allah.

Müslümanlar kitaplarını bu kadarcık okuyuverince anlamalılar aslında.

Muslims should actually understand their books just by reading them a little bit.

Hoca olmalılar değil, Müslüman olmalılar.

They should not be teachers, they should be Muslims.

Yani şu anda yabancılardan Türkçe'ye intikal eden,

So right now, what has been transferred from foreigners to Turkish,

Müslüman olmalılar değil, Müslüman olmalılar. Yani şu anda yabancılardan Türkçe'ye intikal eden,

They should not be Muslims, they should be Muslims. In other words, what is currently being transmitted from foreigners to Turkish,

nice kelimelerin muhtevasını biliyoruz da,

we know the content of nice words, but,

bu kelimelerin muhtevalarını da biliverseydik keşke.

I wish we knew the contents of these words as well.

Belki 60 yıl önce, 70 yıl önce bu kelimeler Müslüman toplumların dilinde vardı zaten.

Maybe 60 years ago, 70 years ago these words already existed in the language of Muslim societies.

Tesbih, semavat, arz, aziz, hakim, mülk, yuhyi, ihya, imata, kadir, evvel, ahir, zahir, batın.

Tasbih, heavens, earth, mighty, wise, dominion, gives life, revives, causes to die, capable, first, last, evident, hidden.

Hemen hemen Türkçe'de,

Almost in Turkish,

bugünkü kavram kargaşası olmasaydı anlaşılacak şeylerdi bunlar.

If it weren't for today's conceptual confusion, these would be understandable things.

سَبَّحَ

He glorified.

Tesbih etti.

He/she recited the prayer beads.

Tesbih etti deyince, ilk aklınıza gelen, işte adam alır tesbihi eline,

When you say "he is praying with a rosary," what first comes to mind is that the man takes the rosary in his hand,

önce halının üzerine şöyle bir serer kıbleye doğru.

First, he lays it out on the carpet facing the qibla.

Neden?

Why?

E önce tesbih secde edecekmiş de ondan.

It is said that the rosary will prostrate first, that’s why.

Sonra alır eline işte sup sup sup diye tesbih eder.

Then he takes in his hand and starts counting with his rosary, saying "sup sup sup."

E muhteva kaybolunca..

When the content is lost...

tabi böyle tesbih modelleri geliştirilecektir.

Of course, such tasbih models will be developed.

Eğer tesbih akik olursa, sedef olursa, inci veya oltu filan olursa daha bir feyizde olacaktır tesbih.

If the prayer beads are made of agate, mother-of-pearl, pearl, or something like that, the prayer beads will have more blessings.

Halbuki tesbih Allah'ı tam ve mükemmel kabul etmektir.

However, tasbih is the acceptance of Allah as complete and perfect.

Tesbih Allah'ı kendi sıfatlarıyla kabul etmektir.

Tasbih is to acknowledge Allah with His attributes.

Yani Allah kitabında kendini nasıl anlatmışsa, hangi sıfatlarla muttasif olarak tanıtmışsa

So, just as Allah has described Himself in His book and introduced Himself with which attributes.

o şekilde kabullenip inanmaktır.

It is to accept and believe in that way.

Tanıtmadığı biçimde bir anlatımı da reddetmektir tesbih.

To reject an expression that is not presented in its true form is also a form of prayer.

Yani Allah'a ait olan bu sıfatları başkalarına vermemektir tesbih.

So, to not attribute these qualities that belong to God to others is what glorification (tesbih) means.

Demek ki tesbih Allah kendini Bakara'da, Ali İmran'da, Nisa'da, Hadid'de bize nasıl tanıtmışsa öylece kabul etmektir.

So it means that the tasbih is to accept Allah as He has introduced Himself to us in Bakara, Ali İmran, Nisa, and Hadid.

Onun sıfatlarını başkaları üzerinde düşünmemek, başkalarına vermemektir.

It is not to think about his attributes on others, nor to give them to others.

Allah'ın sıfatlarını başkaları üzerinde düşünmek

Thinking about the attributes of Allah in relation to others.

ya da sıfatları konusunda Allah'ı eksik kabul edip

or by considering God deficient in His attributes

yerdekilerle O'nun bu eksikliğini tamamlama gayreti Allah korusun şirktir bu.

To try to compensate for His shortcomings with what is on the ground, God forbid, is a form of shirk.

Mesela bakın Allah Rab'tır ve rububiyeti eksiksizdir.

For example, look, God is the Lord and His lordship is perfect.

Ama bu konuda O'nu eksik kabul edip O'nun bu eksikliğini tamamlamak üzere

But in this matter, accepting Him as lacking and aiming to complete that deficiency.

yeryüzünde birtakım Rab'lar, birtakım kanun koyucular, birtakım program yapıcılar aramak,

to seek various lords, various legislators, various program makers on earth,

Allah korusun şirktir bu.

God forbid, this is shirk.

Veya Allah'ın bilgisi tamdır.

Or God's knowledge is complete.

Gaybın da şehadetin de bilgisi Allah'tandır.

The knowledge of both the unseen and martyrdom belongs to Allah.

Hal böyleyken bu konuda O'nu eksik kabul edip

Given this situation, accepting Him as inadequate on this matter...

O'nun bu eksikliğini tamamlamak üzere yerde birtakım gayb biliciler arama gayreti de şirktir.

Seeking to compensate for this deficiency by searching for certain clairvoyants on the ground is also a form of shirk.

Demek ki tesbih

So, it means prayer beads.

sıfatları konusunda Allah'ı tam ve eksiksiz kabul etmektir.

It is to accept Allah's attributes completely and perfectly.

Bir de tesbih

And a prayer beads.

gündemde tutmak demektir.

It means to keep on the agenda.

Yani sürekli O'nu konuşmak,

So constantly talking about Him,

ve O'nun ayetlerini konuşmak demektir.

And it means to speak His verses.

Bakın göktekiler ve yerdekiler sürekli Allah'ı tesbih ederler.

Look, those in the sky and those on the earth constantly glorify Allah.

Yani sürekli O'nu gündemde tutarlar.

So they keep him in the spotlight constantly.

Tesbih bir de bu manaya olunca bakın insanlar neleri tesbih etmeye çalışıyorlar bugün.

When the rosary has this meaning, look at what people are trying to glorify today.

Yani neleri gündemde tutmaya çalışıyorlar.

So, what are they trying to keep on the agenda?

İnsanlar en çok neleri konuşuyorlarsa,

People discuss the things the most that they care about.

en çok neleri gündemde tutmaya çalışıyorlarsa,

What they are trying to keep on the agenda the most,

bilelim ki onları tesbih ediyorlar demektir.

Let us know that it means they are glorifying them.

Tesbihin bir de böyle bir anlamı var.

The prayer beads have this meaning as well.

Kur'an

Qur'an

bize ne anlatır?

What does it tell us?

Kur'an bize kulluğu anlatır.

The Quran teaches us about servitude.

Kur'an bize baştan sona kulluğu anlatır.

The Quran narrates servitude to us from beginning to end.

Başka bir şey yoktur onda.

There is nothing else in it.

While the Quran teaches us about servitude, look.

onu üç kademede anlatır.

He explains it in three stages.

Birincisi

The first one

kime kul olacağız onu anlatır Kur'an.

The Qur'an explains to whom we should be servants.

Yani nasıl bir Allah'a kul olacağız?

So how will we be servants to God?

Esmasıyla sıfatlarıyla kendisine kul olacağımız,

With His names and attributes, we will be His servants.

Allah'ı anlatır Kur'an bize.

The Qur'an tells us about Allah.

İkincisi

The second one.

Allah'ı anladık tamam da

We understood Allah, okay but...

peki

okay

bu inandığımız Allah acaba bizden nasıl bir kulluk ister?

What kind of servitude does the God we believe in want from us?

Yani nasıl kul olacağız Allah'a?

So how will we be servants to God?

Neler ister Allah bizden? Bunu anlatır.

What does God want from us? It explains this.

Yani Allah'a kulluğun biçimini anlatır Kur'an bize.

So, the Quran explains to us the form of servitude to Allah.

Üçüncü olarak da neden kul olacağız?

Thirdly, why will we be servants?

Yani kulluğun sonucu ne?

So what is the result of worship?

Sonuç ne olacak?

What will the result be?

İşte Kur'an bunu anlatır.

Here is what the Quran explains.

Hani

Where is it?

şöyle şöyle yapar,

he/she does it like this,

yaparsanız

if you do it

sonuç cennet.

the result is paradise.

Şöyle şöyle yaparsanız, şöyle şöyle yaşarsanız da

If you do this and that, and live this way and that way...

sonunuz cehennem deniyor ya

They say your end is hell.

işte kulluğun neticesini anlatır Kur'an.

The Quran explains the result of servitude.

Bakalım

Let's see.

Allah kendini nasıl anlatacak bize bu surede?

How will Allah introduce Himself to us in this chapter?

İnşallah tanımaya devam edelim.

Hopefully, let's continue to get to know each other.

وَهُوَ الْعَز۪يزُ الْحَك۪يمُ

And He is the Almighty, the Wise.

Allah

God

aziz ve hakimdir.

He is noble and just.

Aziz izzet sahibi demektir.

Aziz means the one who has honor.

Aziz

Dear

izzetine kimsenin

to no one's dignity

toz konduramayacağı,

that it won't be able to be tarnished,

sahasına kimsenin giremeyeceği,

where no one can enter.

aldığı kararları kimsenin gözden geçiremeyeceği

decisions that no one can review

mutlak galip demektir.

It means absolute victor.

Mutlak egemen, mutlak güçlü,

Absolute sovereign, absolute powerful.

etkin ve yetkin demektir.

It means effective and competent.

Azizin manası budur.

The meaning of the saint is this.

Hakim de

The judge too.

hakimiyet sahibi,

dominant

hayata hakim olan demektir.

It means to be in control of life.

Hikmet sahibi,

Wise one,

hüküm sahibi demektir.

It means "the one who has judgment."

Hayatın tümüne hakim olan varlık demektir.

It means the being that governs all of life.

Bakın,

Look,

bir soru sorayım burada.

Let me ask a question here.

Hayatınıza hakim olan kim?

Who is in control of your life?

Kim hakim hayatımıza bir düşünün.

Who controls our lives, think about it.

Dünü unuttunuz.

You forgot yesterday.

Evvelki gün aklınızda kalmadı.

The day before yesterday didn't stick in your mind.

Bir ay öncesi hatırda kalmadı.

A month ago is not remembered.

Daha yakına gelelim.

Let's come closer.

Bugün, sabahtan akşama kadar neler yaptınız?

What did you do today from morning until evening?

Bu yaptıklarınızı kim dedi de yaptınız?

Who did you say to do this?

Eğer bütün bu yaptıklarınızı Allah dedi diye yaptıysanız,

If you did all of this because you said it was for God,

yani yaptırıcısı Allahsa,

so if the agent is Allah,

o zaman hayatımıza hakim olan varlık,

the being that dominates our lives then,

hayatımızda hüküm sahibi olan varlık,

the entity that has dominion in our lives,

Allah'tır.

It is God.

Değilse Allah korusun,

If not, God forbid,

bütün bu yaptıklarımızı yaptıran başkalarıysa,

if others are making us do all these things,

o zaman Allah mı bizi serbest bıraktı,

So God freed us then?

yoksa bunları yaptıran mı

Or is it someone who makes you do these things?

bizim Rabbımız?

Our Lord?

Allah için bir düşünelim.

Let's think for a moment for the sake of Allah.

Neler yapmıştınız?

What have you been doing?

İşte filanı sevdiniz,

Here, you loved someone.

falana küstünüz,

You fell out with someone.

filanı okudunuz,

Did you read the book?

falanı seyrettiniz,

you watched someone,

şu kıyafeti giydiniz,

you put on that outfit,

filanın dükkanına gittiniz,

You went to the shop of that guy.

falan yerde oturdunuz,

you sat somewhere,

falanı aldınız,

you took so-and-so,

filanı sattınız,

You sold the thing.

peşmekanla buluştunuz.

You met with the venue.

Bütün bunları eğer Allah dedi diye yaptıysanız,

If you did all of this because God said so,

hayatınıza hakim olan,

controlling your life,

hayatınızda hüküm sahibi olan varlık Allah demektir.

The being that has dominion in your life is called God.

Değilse,

If not,

başka hüküm sahipleri buldunuz demektir Allah korusun.

It means you have found other rulers, God forbid.

Hani,

Where?

kayıtsız şartsız hakimiyet Allah'ındır filan diyordunuz ya,

you used to say that absolute sovereignty belongs to God, right?

bir de kendi hayatınız için düşünün bunu,

and also think about this for your own life,

hep başkaları için düşünün.

Always think for others.

Düşünecek değilsiniz ya,

You won't think about it, right?

hayatınıza kim hakim,

who is in control of your life,

onu bir düşünün.

Think about it.

Sonra diyor ki bakın Allah,

Then he says, look, God.

وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ

And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

Allah aziz ve hakimdir.

God is Mighty and Wise.

Aziz ve hakim.

Saint and judge.

Bakıyoruz,

We are looking.

dünya üzerindeki bütün devletler,

all the states on the earth,

herhalde tarihin derinliklerinden bu yana,

presumably since the depths of history,

bütün devletler,

all states,

bütçelerinin yarısını,

half of their budgets,

hemen hemen çoğunu,

almost all of it,

bu iki alana yatırmışlardır.

They have invested in these two areas.

Bir eğitim harcamaları,

An education expenditure,

iki,

two,

savunma harcamaları.

defense expenditures.

Yani bütün devletler en güçlü ve en bilen olabilmek için,

So all states strive to be the strongest and the most knowledgeable,

maliyenin en büyük bölümünü

the largest part of the finance

bu iki sektöre harcamaktadırlar.

They spend on these two sectors.

Eğitim sektörüne

To the education sector

ve savunma sektörüne.

and the defense sector.

Allah'ın en bilen ve en güçlü oluşunu diskalifiye edebilmek için,

To disqualify Allah's omniscience and omnipotence,

ya da güç ve hakimiyeti Allah'tan çekip alabilmek,

or to be able to seize power and dominion from Allah,

kendi ellerinde tutabilmek için,

to be able to hold it in your own hands,

eğitim ve savunma,

education and defense,

sektörüne,

to its sector,

çok büyük önem vermektedirler.

They attach great importance.

Ama bakın,

But look,

Allah surenin hemen başında diyor ki,

Allah says at the very beginning of the chapter,

Ey insanlar,

Oh people,

iyi bilin ki en güçlü benim,

Know well that I am the strongest.

aziz benim,

my dear,

en bilen benim,

I know best.

mutlak bilen benim,

I am the absolute knower,

hakimiyet de bana aittir,

"Dominion also belongs to me,"

hayata hakim olan da benim diyor.

He says that he is the one who is in control of life.

Gelin ey kullarım,

Come, O My servants,

eğer derdiniz güçse, güçlü olmaksa benimle beraber olun.

If your trouble is strength, then be strong with me.

Eğitimse derdiniz,

If your concern is education,

bilgin olmaksa benimle beraber olun.

If you want to be knowledgeable, stay with me.

Hikmetli olmayı, hakim olmayı benden öğrenin.

Learn to be wise and to have authority from me.

Başkasına müracaat etmeyin.

Do not apply to anyone else.

Bunları başka şeylerde aramayın diyor Allah.

God says, "Do not seek these things in other things."

Bu noktada

At this point

şeytan kult takıyor tabi.

Of course, the devil wears a cult.

E canım tamam,

Oh honey, okay,

camide Allah'ı dinledim.

I listened to Allah in the mosque.

Kabe'de Allah'ı dinledim.

I listened to Allah in the Kaaba.

Mekke'de Allah'ın olsun,

May it be for Allah in Mecca.

Medine'ye de izin verelim.

Let's also allow Medina.

Ama her yerde olmaz ki bu.

But it can't be everywhere.

Filan yerde amirimin,

At that place, my superior's

falan yerde müdürümün,

my manager's somewhere,

kendimin, şeyhimin sözü geçmeli değil mi yani?

Shouldn't my word, as well as my sheikh's, matter?

Derseniz,

If you say so,

ya da dedirtirse şeytan size bunu,

or if the devil makes you say this,

ama bakın ikinci ayet,

but look at the second verse,

imdadınıza yetişiyor.

It's coming to your rescue.

Allah şöyle diyor bakın.

God says this, look.

لهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ

His is the dominion of the heavens and the earth.

Gökler yüzü ve yeryüzünün mülkü O'nundur.

The heavens and the earth belong to Him.

Mülke konu olan ne varsa hepsi O'nundur.

Everything that pertains to the property belongs to Him.

Hani

Where?

benim, senin, onun dedikleriniz var ya,

you have those things you've said about me, you, and him.

benim evim,

my house,

benim cebim,

my pocket,

benim param,

my money,

benim özellikleriniz,

my features,

ya da görmediğiniz şeylere de malikiyet iddiasındasınız ya,

or you claim to have ownership over things you haven't seen,

benim fikrim,

my opinion is,

benim zikrim,

my remembrance,

çevrem, sevgim, menfaatim dediğiniz şeylerin

those things you call my environment, my love, my interest

hepsi de Allah'ındır.

They all belong to Allah.

O zaman,

Then,

şöyle bir fetva duydunuz mu?

Have you heard such a fatwa?

A man

kendisine ait olan bir evde, bir bahçede

It is Allah who is infallible and invincible.

وَالَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ اَيَّامٍ

And He who created the heavens and the earth in six days.

ثُمَّ اَسْتَوَى عَلَى الْعَرْشِةِ

Then He rose over the Throne.

Look, a verse from Surah Yasin.

وَمَا تَأْتِيهِمْ مِنْ آَيَةٍ مِنْ آَيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ

And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord.

اِلَّا كَانُوا عَنْهَا مُعْرَفِيهِمْ

"Except they were aware of it."

You are asking the man if what God says is true? True.

Kur'an ne derse doğru mu? Doğru.

Does the Quran say what's right? Yes, it is correct.

Well then, God said to you this, let's see when it's said.

as if we sometimes also deviated.

وَهُوَ مَعَكُمْ اَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ

And He is with you wherever you are.

Siz neredeyseniz Allah oradadır.

Wherever you are, God is there.

Wherever you are, God is with you.

Kendinizi Allah'la beraber bir düşünün.

Think of yourself alongside God.

Imagine that God is constantly by your side.

Bir gününüzü veya bir saatinizi öyle bir düşünün.

Think of a day or an hour of yours that way.

Allah atlatılmaz biliyorsunuz.

God cannot be deceived, you know.

Allah'tan gizlenilmez bunu biliyorsunuz.

One cannot hide from God, you know this.

Allah diskalifiye edilmez biliyorsunuz.

God cannot be disqualified, you know.

Then, even if it's just for an hour, think about your companionship with God.

Imagine God beside you.

وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ

And Allah is All-Seeing of what you do.

Dilim varmıyor söylemeye ama Allah korusun da biz Allah'ı

I can't bring myself to say it, but God forbid, we God.

Allah'ın hayatımıza karıştığına inandığımız konularda

In matters we believe Allah intervenes in our lives.

Allah'ın bizimle beraber olduğuna inanıyoruz.

We believe that God is with us.

Ama diğer konularda sanki

But in other matters, it seems like...

Allah haşa bizimle beraber değil.

God is, God forbid, not with us.

And without being disturbed at all.

Or about the bread crumbs being scattered on the floor at the table.

yanı başındaki Allah'ın görmesinden utanan kimi müslümanlar

some Muslims who are ashamed of being seen by Allah next to them

It's as if he doesn't even think he is with God.

The man who knows God beside him while scattering the bread crumbs on the ground.

the honor of his wife’s daughter in the marketplace

while scattering on the floors in front of the shopkeepers

sanki Allah'ın yanında olduğunun hiç farkında değil.

It's as if he isn't even aware that he is alongside God.

There is no God behind him.

God is always there.

As if God is not outside.

It’s as if God doesn’t interfere with your life outside.

Or when leaving the mosque.

The man takes off his cap and scarf and puts them in his pocket. Why?

E tapınma bitti ya

The worship has ended, hasn’t it?

Allah'ın huzurundan çıktı ya tamam bundan sonra artık başkalarının huzurundadır adam.

Once he has left the presence of God, from now on, he is in the presence of others.

We think of Allah like this.

our attire, our iron, our collar, our cuff

sanki Hristiyan alemden nakil hemen hemen.

It feels like a transfer from the Christian world, almost.

İkinci bir Rabbimiz var

We have a second Lord.

haşa bize emreden

God forbid, commanding us.

yap diyen yapma diyen

One who says do it, one who says don't do it.

ikinci bir Rabbimiz daha var

There is another Lord of ours.

That is the world of Judaism.

Mesleki hayatımız böyle

This is how our professional life is.

ekonomik hayatımız böyle

Our economic life is like this.

kazanmamız harcamamız böyle.

Our earnings and expenses are like this.

müşterinin cebindekini kendi cebine aktarabilmek için her çareye başvuruyor.

He is resorting to every means to transfer the customer's money into his own pocket.

Sanki her çare meşru onun için.

It seems that every remedy is legitimate for him.

Or he is sitting in a position.

resmi hiç abdestin sırasını sormak için başkasını aramamışızdır.

We have never called someone else to ask about the order of the official ablution.

Hep Allah'a sormuşuzdur onu.

We have always asked God about it.

Mesela sabah namazının kaç rekat olduğunu

For example, how many rakats is the morning prayer?

ne Yahudi bilir ne de Hristiyan alem bilir.

Neither the Jew knows nor does the Christian world know.

Hiç sormayız onlara.

We never ask them.

Allah'a sorarız bunu.

We will ask Allah about this.

Çünkü bu konuda Rabbimiz Allah'tır.

Because in this matter, our Lord is Allah.

I mean God forbid.

What remains is a Islam that is trapped on a prayer rug.

Namazını da orada bitiriyor.

Like those who only remember their mothers on Mother's Day.

sadece seccadede Allah'ı hatırlıyoruz.

We only remember Allah on the prayer mat.

bilesiniz ki diyor bakın Allah

"You should know that He says, look, God."

لهu mulkus semavati vel arf

To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth.

ve ila Allahi turcaul umur.

And to Allah belong all matters.

Siz bilirsiniz.

You know.

Dönüşünüz Allah'adır.

Your return is to Allah.

Hesap görecek olan Allah'tır.

It is Allah who will hold the حساب (account).

Hesabı Allah'a vereceksiniz.

You will give account to Allah.

يُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ

He intertwines the night with the day.

وَيُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ

"And He brings the night into the day."

Gündüzü geceyi o kadar ayarlamış ki Cenab-ı Hak

God has adjusted the day and the night so perfectly.

isterseniz her konuda Rab oluşuna karşı gelin.

If you want, rebel against Him in every matter.

İsterseniz itiraz edin, reddedin.

If you want, you can object, reject.

Hayatınızın bazı bölümlerine onu karıştırmama konusunda

About not mixing him into certain parts of your life.

dayatın, diretin.

Enforce, insist.

Yani isterseniz Allah'ın düzenine kafa tutun.

So, if you want, challenge God's order.

Allah'ın düzen kurma konusuna itiraz edin.

Object to God's order of establishment.

Yok Allah düzen kurmayı bilmez deyin.

Say that God does not know how to establish order.

Ama bakın ki

But look at that

Güneş onu dinliyor.

The sun is listening to it.

Ay onu dinliyor.

She is listening to him.

Yıldızlar onu dinliyor.

The stars are listening to him/her.

Gündüz onu, gece onu dinliyorken

During the day, listening to him; at night, listening to him.

isterseniz siz dinlemeyin.

If you want, you don't have to listen.

Ama bilesiniz ki sonunda

But know that in the end

وَاِلَى اللّٰهِ تُرْجَعُ الْاُمُورِ

And unto Allah belong the affairs.

İşler ona döndürülecektir.

The matters will be turned over to him.

Hesabı o görecek.

He will take care of the bill.

Hesabı ona ödeyeceksiniz diyor Allah.

God says you will pay the bill for him.

Believe in His Messenger as well.

Peki nasıl bir Allah'a inanacağız?

So, what kind of God will we believe in?

How did Allah introduce Himself? Remember.

Göklerde ve yerde tesbih edilen bir Allah.

A God that is glorified in the heavens and on earth.

Göktekilerin ve yerdekilerin sürekli tesbih ettikleri,

What is in the heavens and what is on the earth constantly glorifies Him.

sürekli gündemde tuttukları bir Allah.

A God that they keep constantly on the agenda.

Mülke sahip olan,

Those who own property,

mülk elinde olan bir Allah.

God is the one who possesses all property.

Her şeye kadir olan,

The one who is capable of everything,

her şeyi kadir olan bir Allah.

A God who has the power to do everything.

Evvel olan, ahir olan, zahir olan, batın olan bir Allah.

A God who is the past, the future, the apparent, and the hidden.

Her şeyi bilen, bilgisi mutlak olan,

The one who knows everything, whose knowledge is absolute,

gökleri ve yeri altı günde yaratan,

the one who created the heavens and the earth in six days,

bizim yanı başımızda olan,

right next to us,

biz neredeysek orada olan bir Allah.

God is wherever we are.

Gündüze geceye etkin olan, egemen olan bir Allah.

A God who is active and sovereign over day and night.

İşte bu Allah'a inanın

Here you go, believe in God.

ve de gönderdiği elçiyi kabul edin diyor Allah.

And God says to accept the messenger He has sent.

Şimdi bu ayeti

Now this verse

çoklarının yaptığı gibi cımbızla buradan söküp,

like many others do, pluck it out of here with tweezers,

sure bütünlüğünden koparıp anlamaya kalkarsanız,

if you try to understand by detaching it from the integrity of the context,

Then the meaning will become very simplistic.

I believe in God.

They will say, "Sir, we already believe."

So what kind of God do you believe in?

İşte abdest isteyen, namaz isteyen,

Here is the one who asks for ablution, the one who asks for prayer,

oruç isteyen, bunun dışında hayatımızda fazla karışmayan,

wants fasting, not interfering much in our lives otherwise,

işte dünya yaratmış, yorulmuş, dinlenmeye çekilmiş,

the world has been created, worn out, and withdrawn to rest,

dünya işlerinden fazla anlamayan,

one who doesn't understand much about worldly affairs,

kendi dünyası,

his own world,

kendi alemine çekilmiş bir Allah değil ama bakın.

It's not a God withdrawn into His own realm, but look.

Buraya kadar tanıtılan,

Introduced up to this point,

sürekli bizimle beraber olan,

constantly with us,

sürekli bizden bir şeyler bekleyen,

constantly expecting something from us,

yani sürekli bizden kulluk isteyen,

that is, constantly wanting servitude from us,

hüküm sahibi,

ruler,

hakimiyet sahibi olan bir Allah.

A God who has sovereignty.

وَلَا يُشْرِكُ فِي حُكْمِهِ اَحَدًا

And no one shares in His judgment.

Hükmünde, hakimiyetinde ortağa asla rızası olmayan,

In its judgment, never consenting to a partner in its sovereignty,

yani kullarını kendisinden başkalarına itaat konusunda,

that is to say, in regard to obeying others besides Himself.

kendisinden başkalarını dinlenen,

one who listens to others besides himself,

dinleme konusunda soğanın dişinden bile kıskanan bir Allah.

A God who is even jealous of the tooth of an onion when it comes to listening.

Aziz olan,

The sacred one,

yenilmez ve yanılmaz olan bir Allah.

An God who is invincible and infallible.

Öyle değil mi?

Isn't it so?

Bakın,

Look,

Allah önce tanıttı, tanıttı, tanıttı kendini,

God first introduced Himself, introduced Himself, introduced Himself,

Or did God maybe say something to me? Don't say it, please.

Çünkü Rasulü de var onun.

Because it has a Messenger too.

Rasulü vasıtasıyla size bir şeyler dedi o Allah.

God spoke to you through His Messenger.

Rasulüne de inanın.

Believe in His Messenger as well.

Aminu billah ve rasulihi.

I believe in Allah and His Messenger.

Rasul,

Rasul,

Allah'ın

God's

kullarının hayatına karışmasında odak noktadır.

It is the focal point of interfering in the lives of its servants.

Yani Allah,

So, God,

ben insanların hayatına karışacağım.

I will interfere in people's lives.

Bu konuda seni odak nokta seçtim.

I chose you as the focal point on this matter.

Yani insanların hayatına karışmasında,

So, in intervening in people's lives,

seni sözcü seçtim.

I chose you as the spokesperson.

Sen bu konuda benim sözcülüğümü yapacaksın diye

You will speak on my behalf on this matter.

peygamber göndermiştir.

He has sent a prophet.

İşte peygamberin fonksiyonu, peygamberin misyonu budur.

This is the function of the prophet, this is the mission of the prophet.

Peygamberi kabul etmek demek,

To accept the prophet means,

Allah'ın insan hayatına karışırlığını kabul etmek demektir.

It means accepting God's intervention in human life.

Peygamberi reddetmek demek, peygamberi diskalifiye etmek demek de

Rejecting the prophet also means disqualifying the prophet.

Allah'ın insan hayatına karışmasını reddetmek demektir.

It means rejecting God's intervention in human life.

So the prophet.

Peace be upon him.

In God's intervention in human life.

Then he says, look, our Lord.

وَاَنْفِقُوا مِمَّا جَعَلَكُمْ مُسْتَخْلَف۪ينَ ف۪يهُ

"And spend from what He has made you successors in."

Spend from the things you have been given the authority to spend.

"Spend from what He has made you successors to."

We are trying to understand what it means for Allah to make us successors.

It means that one comes after the other.

So think about it,

once upon a time

This property was owned.

Then it belonged to Samud.

Then it was Media's.

Sonra Tubba'nın oldu.

Then it belonged to Tubba.

Sonra Emevi'nin Abbasinin oldu.

Then it became Abbasid of the Umayyad.

Sonra Selçuklu'nun Osmanlı'nın oldu.

Then the Seljuks became the Ottomans.

Sonra dedeğin babasının,

Then your grandfather's father,

sonra anayın kocasının,

then the mother’s husband,

sonra da sana intikal etti.

Then it was conveyed to you.

Yarın da bir başkasına intikal edecek.

It will be transferred to another person tomorrow as well.

Öyleyse infak et,

Then give to charity,

çünkü sende de kalmayacak.

because it won't stay with you either.

İşte arkadaşlar halefi

Here is the successor, friends.

böyle anlamaya çalışıyoruz.

We are trying to understand it like this.

İnfak,

Charity,

zekattan ayrı bir şeydir.

It is something different from zakat.

İnfak,

Charity,

Allah sana ne verdiyse ondan vermendir.

You give from what Allah has given you.

Allah'ın sana verdiklerini Allah'ın kullarıyla paylaşmandır infak.

Infaq is sharing what Allah has given you with Allah's servants.

Sana hangi imkanı tanımışsa Allah,

Whatever opportunity God has provided you,

onu başkalarına aktarmaktır.

It is to transfer it to others.

Ne verdi Allah?

What did Allah give?

Bilgi mi verdi,

Did he provide information?

vasiret mi verdi,

Did he give wisdom?

görüş mü, zeka mı verdi, mal mı verdi, el mi verdi, dil mi verdi,

Did it give vision, intelligence, wealth, a hand, or a tongue?

ondan başkalarını istifade ettirmenin adına infak denir.

The act of enabling others to benefit from someone is called expenditure.

can give birth

sıhhat mi verdi Allah,

Did God grant health?

That function is executed by the execution office.

Yani Allah'ın verdiği o imkanı kullanıp,

So, using that opportunity given by God,

doğurabilme imkanını kullanıp,

using the possibility of giving birth,

o fonksiyonu icra etmek de infaktır.

Performing that function is also an expenditure.

İnfakın ölçüsü yoktur.

There is no measure for charity.

En alt taban ölçü milyarda milyon,

The lowest base measure is a million in a billion.

milyonda birdir.

It's one in a million.

En üst ölçü de malın tamamıdır.

The highest measure is the entirety of the goods.

Hazreti Ömer Efendimiz örneklemiştir.

Our Master Hazrat Omar has exemplified.

Allah'ın Rasulü bu işi o kadar güzel örneklemiştir ki,

The Messenger of Allah has exemplified this matter so beautifully that,

bakın ne kadar hoş bir örnek verir.

Look at what a nice example it gives.

اِتَّقُوا النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ

"Fear the Fire, even if it is with half a date."

Yarım hurmayla da olsa kendinizi ateşten koruyun.

Even if it is just half a date, protect yourself from the fire.

Yarım hurma,

Half a date,

ne kadar az,

how little,

ama ne kadar çok,

but how much,

değil mi?

isn't it?

Ne kadar çok ki cehennemden kurtarıyor.

How many he saves from hell.

So

10 ton hurması var birinin,

One of them has 10 tons of dates.

bir tonunu veremiyor ne kadar fukara adam.

He can't give even a ton, no matter how poor the guy is.

We can't see much of a tone in 10 tons either,

فَالَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ وَاَنْفَقُوا لَهُمْ اَجْرٌ كَب۪يرٌ

So those of you who have believed and spent [in the cause of Allah] will have a great reward.

Artık sizden kim de iman edip,

Now who among you will believe,

infak ederse,

if he/she gives charity,

onlar için büyük bir ecir vardır.

There is a great reward for them.

وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللّٰهِ

And what is wrong with you that you do not believe in Allah?

Hayrola ne oluyor size?

What's going on with you?

Ne oluyorsunuz da siz inanmayacaksınız Allah'a?

What is happening to you that you would not believe in God?

Yani her şeye rağmen sizden razı olacak bir Allah'a mı inanıyorsunuz?

So do you believe in a God who will be pleased with you regardless of everything?

Onu O'nun istediği biçimde tanımadan,

Without recognizing him in the way he wants,

O'na O'nun istediği biçimde kulluk yapmadan,

Without serving Him in the way He wants,

size gönderdiği kulluk kitabını tanımadan,

without recognizing the book of servitude it sent you,

peygamberiyle diyalog kurmadan,

without establishing a dialogue with the prophet,

hayat programını tanımadan,

without knowing the life program,

yaşasanız da,

even if you live,

hayatınızın bazı bölümlerine Allah'ı karıştırmayıp,

not involving God in certain parts of your life,

yerde bir takım efendilere,

to a group of gentlemen on the ground,

even if you allocate a space to interfere in your life,

He will agree with you on this matter.

Yani ne nane yerseniz yiyin,

So no matter what mint you eat,

sizden razı olacak bir Allah'a mı inanıyorsunuz siz?

Do you believe in a God who will be pleased with you?

Nedir bu haliniz?

What is this state of yours?

وَالرَّسُولُ يَدْعُوكُمْ لِتُؤْمِنُوا بِرَبِّكُمْ

And the Messenger calls you to believe in your Lord.

وَقَدْ اَخَذَ مِيثَاقَكُمْ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ

"And He has taken your covenant if you are believers."

Üstelik o Allah'a,

Moreover, that is to Allah,

peygamber sizi çağırıp dururken,

while the prophet keeps calling you,

haydi ahdinizi yenileyin eğer mü'minseniz diye,

Come on, renew your vow if you are a believer.

while the prophet keeps calling you to Allah,

ne oluyor da siz o Allah'a iman etmeyeceksiniz?

What is happening that you will not believe in that God?

Öyleyse peygamberin inandığı gibi bir Allah'a inanmak zorundayız.

Then we must believe in a God like the one the prophet believed in.

Yani peygamberin inandığı Allah'a inanmak zorundayız.

So we must believe in the God that the prophet believed in.

Bu konuda her konuda ölçü peygamberdir.

In this matter, the measure is the prophet in every matter.

Peygambersiz iman muteber değildir.

Faith without a prophet is not valid.

Yani kendi kafamızdan,

So from our own heads,

düşleyip hayallediğimiz bir Allah'a inanamayız.

We cannot believe in a God that we imagine and dream of.

İnandığımız Allah,

The God we believe in,

peygamberin inandığı Allah olmalı.

It must be the God believed in by the prophet.

هُوَ الَّذ۪ي يُنَزِّلُ عَلٰى عَبْدِهِ آيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ

He is the one who sends down clear signs to His servant.

لِيُخْرِجَكُمْ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ اِلَى النُّورِ

To bring you out of darkness into light.

وَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِكُمْ لَرَعُوفُ الرَّح۪يمُ

And indeed, Allah is with you, Most Kind and Most Merciful.

هُوَ الَّذ۪ي يُنَزِّلُ عَلٰى عَبْدِهِ آيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ

He is the one who sends down clear signs to His servant.

O Allah,

O Allah,

kuluna ayetler indirdi ki,

He sent down verses to His servant, so that,

sizi zulmetten nura çıkarsın diye.

To bring you out of darkness into light.

Yani ayetlere tutundukça,

So as long as we hold on to the verses,

ayetleri yaktıkça,

as we burned the verses,

ampulleri yaktıkça,

as we light the bulbs,

sanki onlarla, onların nuruyla,

as if with them, by their light,

sizi karanlıklardan, zulümattan kurtarmak üzere

to rescue you from the darkness, from oppression

Allah size ayetler gönderdi.

God has sent you signs.

Farz edin ki,

Assume that,

bir dünyanız var,

you have a world,

bir sarayınız var.

You have a palace.

Mesela 114 odalı

For example, 114 rooms.

bir sarayınız var.

You have a palace.

Ve her odanın ampulü, aydınlatıcısı o ayettir, o suredir farz edin.

And the bulb of each room, its illuminator, is that verse, consider it that surah.

Bu ayetlerden, bu surelerden ne kadarını yakmışsanız,

How much of these verses, of these chapters have you burned?

sarayınız o kadar aydınlık, hayatınız o kadar aydınlık demektir.

Your palace is as bright as your life is bright.

Ne kadarını da yakmamışsanız,

However much you haven't burned,

o bölgede, zulümatta, karanlıkta kalmışsınız demektir.

This means you have been left in the dark, in the shadows, in that region.

Bakın şimdi kitabınıza ne kadar aydınlandı dünyanız,

Look now how much your world has been enlightened by your book,

ne kadar aydınlandı ruhunuz, kafanız, düşünceniz, ameliniz,

how much your soul, mind, thoughts, and deeds have been enlightened,

ne kadar aydınlandı,

how much it has brightened,

yani 114'te kaç sure yaktınız,

So how many candles did you burn at 114?

kaç ampul, kaç nur edindiniz.

How many bulbs, how much light have you gained?

Bu nuru hatırda tutun, biraz sonra tekrar gündeme gelecek bu nur. Zira

Keep this light in mind, as it will come up again shortly. For

sonra diyor ki bakın Allah,

then he says look, God,

وَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِكُمْ لَرَعُوفُ الرَّح۪يمُ

And indeed, Allah is Most Kind and Most Merciful to you.

Nedenmiş bu?

What is this about?

Yani Allah bu nur kaynağı olan kitabı neden göndermiş?

So why did God send this book, which is a source of light?

Çünkü size karşı râûf ve rahîm olandır Allah.

Because Allah is compassionate and merciful to you.

Yani sizin karanlıkta kalıp,

So you remain in the dark,

by hand

bocalamanızı, düşe kalka yürümenizi istemeyen,

who does not want your hesitation and stumbling walk,

size râûf ve rahîm olan bir Allah.

A God who is compassionate and merciful to you.

İkinci bir soru geliyor bakın.

A second question is coming, look.

وَمَا لَكُمْ أَلَّا تُنْفِقُوا ف۪ي سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِ

And what is [the matter] with you that you do not spend in the cause of Allah?

وَلِلّٰهِ م۪رَافُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ

And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth.

What is happening to you all?

Allah yolunda infak etmiyorsunuz?

Aren't you spending in the way of Allah?

Niye infak etmiyorsunuz?

Why aren't you spending (or giving) in charity?

Ne zannediyorsunuz yani?

What do you think?

Sonunda semavat ve arzın mirası Allah'a kalmayacak mı?

Will the inheritance of the heavens and the earth not ultimately belong to Allah?

Şu cebinizdekiler,

Those in your pocket,

şu koynunuzdakiler,

the ones in your sheepfold,

şu kasalarınızda keselerinizdekiler,

what's in your boxes and your pouches,

hep Allah'a kalmayacak mı?

Isn't it all going to be left to God?

Hepiniz gideceksiniz

You will all go.

ve her şeyiniz Allah'a kalacak.

And everything will be left to God.

Ne kadar akıl erdirici,

How reasonable,

ne kadar iş bitirici bir ifade değil mi?

Isn't it such a decisive statement?

Yani sizler tuttunuz, öptünüz, sarıldınız,

So you held, kissed, and hugged each other.

bağrınıza basıp vermediniz, infak etmediniz.

You did not embrace and give, you did not spend.

Ee sonunda kime kalacak da tutuyorsunuz?

So, in the end, who will it be left to that you are holding onto?

Niye?

Why?

Yani Allah'a kalacaksa mirasınız, niye bunu böyle düşünüyorsunuz diyor sanki Allah?

So if your inheritance is to be left to God, why is it that you think like this, as if God is saying?

وَمَا لَكُمْ أَلَّا تُنْفِقُوا ف۪ي سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِ

And what is the matter with you that you do not spend in the way of Allah?

Ne oluyor da Allah'a

What is happening to God?

yolunda infak etmiyorsunuz?

Aren't you spending in His way?

وَلِلّٰهِ م۪يرَافُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ

And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth.

Sonunda hepsi Allah'a kalmayacak mı?

In the end, won't everything be up to God?

Göklerin ve yerin mirası Allah'a kalmayacak mı?

Will not the inheritance of the heavens and the earth belong to Allah?

Sonra diyor ki bakın Allah,

Then he says, look, God,

لَا يَسْتَو۪ٓي مِنْكُمْ مَنْ اَنْفَقَ مِنْ قَبْلِ الْفَتْحِ وَقَاتَلْ

"Those among you who spent and fought before the victory are not equal."

اُولَٰئِكَ اَعْظَمُ دَرَجَةً مِنَ الَّذ۪ينَ اَنْفَقُوا مِنْ بَعْضُوا وَقَاتَلُوا

Those are of greater rank than those who spent and fought.

İçinizden fetihten önce infak eden ve savaşanlar başkalarıyla bir olmaz.

Those who spend and fight before the conquest are not like others.

Bunlar bu zor zamanda,

These are in this difficult time,

bu dar zamanda infak edenler ve savaşanlar

those who spend in charity and fight in this narrow time

derece olarak sonradan infak eden ve savaşanlardan daha büyüktür.

Those who spend and fight later are greater in degree.

Arabanın tekerleği kumdayken

When the car's wheel is on the sand

ya da yokuşu çıkarken iteklemek önemlidir.

Or it is important to push while going uphill.

Düze çıktıktan sonra atla atlayabildiğin kadar, o sizi götürecektir artık.

Once you get onto the flat, jump as far as you can; it will take you from there.

İslam'ın hakimiyeti döneminde

During the era of Islamic dominion

Then He says, God,

وَكُلَّنْ وَعَضَ اللّٰهُ الْحُسْنَ وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَب۪يرٌ

And everyone has a direction to which he turns; so hasten toward good deeds. Wherever you may be, Allah will bring you all together. Indeed, Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

Ama Allah her birine

But Allah to each of them

en güzel olanı vaad etmiştir.

He has promised the most beautiful one.

Allah yapmakta olduklarınızdan haber alandır,

Allah is the All-Aware of what you do.

haberdar olandır.

He is the one who is aware.

مَنْ ذَلَّذ۪ي

Who is the one that?

يُقْرِضُ اللّٰهَ

Allah lends.

قَرْضًا حَسَنًا

A benevolent loan.

فَيُضٰعِفَهُ لَهُ وَلَهُ اَجْرٌ كَب۪يرٌ

And He will multiply it for him, and for him is a great reward.

İkinizde

Both of you.

Allah'a güzel bir borç verecek yok mu?

Is there no one who will give a nice loan to Allah?

Artık Allah onu kendisi için kat kat artırıversin.

May God multiply it for him many times over.

Ve de onun için ona kerim bir ecir,

And for that, a generous reward for him,

cömertçe bir ücret ödesin.

Pay a generous fee.

Allah bizden karz istiyor.

God is asking for a loan from us.

Allah kullarından karz-ı hasen istiyor.

Allah desires from His servants a good loan.

Karz-ı hasen,

Qard al-hasan,

kişinin Allah tarafından kendisine verilen her şeyini,

everything that has been given to a person by Allah,

onların

their

gerçek sahibi olan Allah yolunda sarf etmesinin adına

the act of spending in the way of God, who is the true owner

Allah karz-ı hasen diyor.

God is saying a benevolent loan.

Yani

So

malını,

goods,

canını,

your soul,

o malın ve canın gerçek sahibi olan Allah yolunda sarf etmesinin adıdır karz-ı hasen.

The name for spending in the way of Allah, who is the true owner of that property and life, is called karz-ı hasen.

Mallarınızı, canlarınızı, zamanlarınızı, ilimlerinizi, fırsatlarınızı, imkanlarınızı

Your goods, your lives, your time, your knowledge, your opportunities, your possibilities.

Allah'ın istediği yerlerde harcayın,

Spend in the places that Allah wants.

bir borç olarak Allah'a sunun onları,

Present them to Allah as a debt.

Allah'ın yanında kalsın emanet olarak

May it remain with Allah as a trust.

ve en lazım olacağı zaman da

and when you need it the most

o zaman alırsınız.

Then you will take it.

Cennet için mi lazım oldu?

Was it needed for paradise?

Cehennemden kurtuluş için mi lazım oldu?

Was it necessary to escape from hell?

O zaman alırsınız ondan.

Then you will take it from him.

Fakat bunu becerebilmenin,

But being able to achieve this,

benim anlayabildiğim bir tek yolu var.

There is only one way that I can understand.

bu mallarımızın ve canlarımızın gerçek sahibinin bizler değil

We are not the true owners of these goods and our lives.

Allah olduğuna inanmaya bağlıdır bu.

It depends on believing that there is a God.

Mesela bakın,

For example, look,

benim milyarlarca evim olsa,

if I had billions of houses,

yani yeryüzündeki evlerin tamamı benim olsa,

so if all the houses on Earth were mine,

ve ben bu evleri insanlara,

and I sell these houses to people,

yani sizlere dağıtsam,

so I would distribute to you,

hepinize bir ev versem,

If I gave you all a house,

Mustafa'ya da bu evlerden birini versem,

If I give one of these houses to Mustafa,

desem ki Mustafa,

I would say that Mustafa,

I am temporarily giving you this house and the furniture inside it.

Bu evde otur

Live in this house.

ve bu içindeki eşyaları da kullan.

And use the items inside it as well.

Ama günün birinde bunun sahibi olarak benden bu konuda bir haber gelirse,

But if one day I receive news about this as its owner,

If I said to apply it exactly as it is.

Sonra,

Then,

işte yıllar sonra benden bir haberci Mustafa'ya gelse ve dese ki,

"Here, after years, if a messenger came from me to Mustafa and said,"

O sana diyor ki,

He says to you that,

take two cushions from this house you are currently using in his name,

Hasan'a verecekmişsin, dese.

You said you would give it to Hasan.

Mustafa'nın ne yapması lazım?

What does Mustafa need to do?

Bir,

One,

Mustafa bu evin

Mustafa this house's

ve bu eşyaların kendisine ait olmadığını,

and that these belongings do not belong to him.

bana ait olduğunu biliyor

She knows it belongs to me.

ve böylece inanıyorsa,

and if he believes like this,

sonra,

then,

benden gelen haberciye inanıyorsa,

if he believes the messenger coming from me,

yani habercinin doğruluğunu tasdik ediyor,

that is, it confirms the accuracy of the reporter,

hiç şüphe falan etmiyorsa, iki,

if there is no doubt at all, two,

bir de mal sahibi olarak,

as a property owner,

benim dediğimi yapmadığı zaman,

when he doesn't do what I say,

zorla o mülkü onun elinden alabilecek güçte biri olarak tanıyorsa beni,

if he recognizes me as someone who has the power to forcibly take that property from him,

o zaman Mustafa ne yapacak?

So what will Mustafa do?

İki değil, tüm minderleri de verebilecektir.

Not only two, but it will be able to give all the cushions as well.

Ama Mustafa mülkün gerçek sahibi olarak beni unutmuş, kendisini bu mülkün sahibi görmeye başlamışsa, bir,

But if Mustafa has forgotten me as the true owner of the property and has started to see himself as the owner of this property, then,

emrimi yerine getirmeyince,

when you do not carry out my order,

zorla o mülkü ondan söküp alabilecek güçte biri olmadığımı zannediyorsa,

if he thinks that there is no one strong enough to forcibly take that property from him,

yani,

that is,

beni böyle güçsüz,

zayıf biri biliyorsa, iki,

if a weak person knows, two,

bir de benim gönderdiğim elçiye güvenmiyor.

He doesn't trust the envoy I sent either.

Yani haberciden şüphe içindeyse,

So if he is in doubt about the reporter,

o zaman ne yapar Mustafa?

What does Mustafa do then?

Şimdi yaptığını yapar değil mi?

He/she does what he/she is doing now, right?

Bir tas yoğurt değil,

It's not a bowl of yogurt,

bir kaşık bile vermemeye çalışır.

He even tries not to give a single spoon.

Öyleyse,

So,

arkadaşlar bilelim ki,

let's know that friends,

bu evlerin,

these houses,

bu malların gerçek sahibi Allah'tır.

The true owner of these goods is Allah.

Allah'ın mülkünde bizler emanetçiyiz.

We are trustees in God's property.

Allah bize bir haberci göndermiş.

God has sent us a messenger.

İşte o habercinin,

Here is that reporter,

getirdiği haberleri okuyorum ben şu anda size.

Haberi tasdik ediyorsanız,

If you are confirming the news,

haberciye inanıyorsanız,

if you believe in the newsagent,

vermediğiniz zaman,

when you don't give,

If you believe that God can take these from your hands by force,

yani Allah'ı böyle güçlü bir Allah olarak biliyorsanız,

so if you know God as such a powerful God,

o zaman bunları Allah yolunda harcamak zorundasınız.

Then you must spend these in the way of Allah.

Çünkü, bakın Allah sizden karz istiyor.

Because, you see, God is asking for a loan from you.

Bu ayet geldiği zaman,

When this verse comes,

sahabeden

from the companions

Ebu Dahtah koşa koşa Resulullah'a gelir ve der ki,

Ebu Dahtah runs to the Messenger of Allah and says,

Ey Allah'ın Resulü,

O Messenger of Allah,

şimdi Allah bizden karz istiyor öyle mi?

So now God is asking for a loan from us, is that right?

Allah'ın Resulü,

The Messenger of Allah,

evet Ey Ebu Dahtah, Allah borç istiyor

Yes, O Abu Dahtah, Allah is asking for a loan.

diye cevap verince,

when I replied saying,

bunun üzerine Ebu Dahtah,

Upon this, Abu Dahtah,

uzat ellerini Ey Allah'ın Resulü,

Stretch out your hands, O Messenger of Allah,

ben bu konuda Allah'la alışveriş yapmak istiyorum diyerek,

I want to make a bargain with God on this matter, saying,

Resulullah'ın ellerini eline alır ve

He takes the hands of the Messenger of Allah and

Ya Resulallah,

O Messenger of Allah,

sen şahit ol ki ben içinde evim ve 600 hurma ağacımın bulunduğu

You are my witness that I have a house and 600 date palms inside it.

filan bahçemi Allah'a karz olarak veriyorum der.

"I give my garden as a loan to Allah."

İbn-i Mesud,

Ibn Mas'ud,

bu bağda 600 hurma ağacının olduğunu

that there are 600 date palm trees in this orchard

ve

and

ailesiyle birlikte Ebu Dahtah'ın bu bahçenin içindeki evinde oturduğunu bize söyler.

He tells us that Abu Dahtah lives in the house inside this garden with his family.

İçindeki eviyle birlikte

With the house inside it.

karz edivermiş Allah'a.

He has lent to God.

Hatta bu hadiseden sonra Ebu Dahtah evine gelir

In fact, after this incident, Abu Dahtah comes home.

ve ailesine şöyle der,

And he says to his family,

Ey Dahtah'ın annesi,

Oh, mother of Dahtah,

bu bağı ve evi boşaltacağız.

We will vacate this bond and the house.

Çünkü bilesin ki ben bu evi ve bahçeyi Allah'a borç verdim der.

Because you should know that I have lent this house and garden to God.

En az onun kadar Allah'a teslim olan karısı da der ki,

His wife, who is at least as devoted to Allah as he is, says:

Ey Ebu Dahtah, tebrik ederim seni.

O Abu Dahtah, I congratulate you.

Çok kârlı bir alışveriş yapmışsın.

You've made a very profitable purchase.

Allah alışverişini kabul etsin diyor.

May Allah accept your transaction.

Ne kadar hoş değil mi?

Isn't it nice?

So

bir insan mesela

for example, a person

sırtındaki gömleğine varıncaya kadar her şeyini Allah yolunda infak etse, harcasa,

Even if he spends everything he has in the way of Allah, down to his shirt on his back,

bu adam övünülecek bir şey yapmış sayılmaz. Neden?

This man hasn't done anything to be proud of. Why?

Zaten Allah'ın malını yine onun yolunda harcadı.

He already spent Allah's property again on His path.

E fazla bir şey yapmadı ki bu adam.

This man didn't do much anyway.

Yine bir adam mesela canını gözünü kırpmadan Allah yolunda feda etse,

For example, if a man sacrifices his life without blinking an eye on the path of Allah,

yani

that is

şehadet şerbetini içse,

if he drinks the sherbet of martyrdom,

bu adam da övünme hakkına sahip değildir. Neden?

This man does not have the right to brag. Why?

Çünkü zaten Allah'ın da o can,

"Because that soul is already God's,"

onu sahibine verdi, o kadar.

She gave it to its owner, that's all.

Ama bakın,

But look,

Allah zaten kendinin olan mallarımızı ve canlarımızı

God already owns our possessions and our lives.

from us

bir daha satın almak istiyor.

She/he wants to buy it again.

Ne karşılığında?

In exchange for what?

Cennet karşılığında.

In exchange for paradise.

Verin bana onları,

Give them to me,

size cennet vereyim.

I will give you paradise.
