Doğdu mahi hüda üfku ve şerde bu gece,

The creature of nature was born, amidst light and darkness, this night.

Güller açıldı lale misal serde bu gece,

Roses have bloomed like tulips in the heart tonight,

Sarsıldı baştan başa yine eyyami tavut,

The coffin's days were shaken from head to toe again,

Şakıdı bülbülü şeyda seherde bu gece,

The nightingale sang sweetly in love this morning,

Çınladı arzu sema bir ulvi ve şeretle,

The desire echoed in the heavens with a sublime and ominous tone,

Geldi ulaştı dermanlar her derde bu gece,

The remedies for every ailment have arrived this night.

Veladet veladet sesiyle zeminde bin velvele,

With the sound of the birth, a thousand uproars on the ground,

Duyuldu nefhe-i üns perde perde bu gece,

The sound of the breath of intimacy was heard, veil by veil, tonight.

Pervane oldu nuruna onun arzu sema,

The moth has become a devotee to its light, that sky of desire.

Kevn oldu makar şahı muhtemede bu gece,

Tonight, the king of the dice has come to the table.

Sarıldı hanesi öteden hale-i nura,

The house was embraced by the state of light from afar.

Tüllendi ilahi esrar her yerde bu gece.

The divine mystery has veiled everywhere tonight.
