Hello everyone, welcome to the program "In the Way of the Quran" on TV Yüz screens.

İstanbul'umuzun tarihi mekanlarından, tarihi semtlerinden Eyüp Sultan'ın önemli simge mekanlarından biri olan Piyarlotu'dayız.

We are at Piyarlotu, one of the significant symbolic places of Eyüp Sultan, one of the historical districts of our Istanbul.

Together with the reading teacher, we will try to understand and comprehend what he tells us about a section every day for 30 days during the month of Ramadan.

We will discuss each part, every day, and we will strive to convey the themes that are mentioned, highlighted, and emphasized in each part.

Before that, the topic of our program today is Surah Al-Baqarah, but I want to talk about the virtues of the month of Ramadan.

What is the wisdom of Ramadan? How should we appreciate the value of this month that we can access only once a year? Please proceed.

Allah Almighty has designated a month in the Quran, which is mentioned by name, and even refers to the number of days in a year,

We see the month of Ramadan, especially, as a month of resurrection.

Kur'an-ı Kerim 610 yılında, miladi 610 yılında peygamberimize indirilmeye başlanmıştır ki,

The Holy Quran began to be revealed to our prophet in the year 610, in the year 610 AD.

biz bu bilgiyi de Kur'an'da Bakara suresinin 185. ayetinde görüyoruz.

We also see this information in the Qur'an, in the 185th verse of Surah Al-Baqarah.

Bakara suresi 185. ayetteki ifade şöyle geçiyor.

The expression in verse 185 of Surah Al-Baqarah is as follows.

Yani bu Ramazan ayı öyle bir aydır ki, o ayda Kur'an indirilmeye başlanmıştır.

So this month of Ramadan is such a month that the Quran began to be revealed in that month.

Dolayısıyla biz Ramazan'ı aslında bir Kur'an ayı olarak isimlendirirsek yanlış yapmış olmayız.

Therefore, if we actually refer to Ramadan as a month of the Quran, we would not be mistaken.

This month is a month of the Quran.

So how should the journey of life be carried on according to the Quran?

It contains principles and rules that will provide information to people at that point.

During the month of Ramadan, people abstain from certain actions related to eating, drinking, and sexuality for the sake of God.

They learn to abstain from dawn until the time to break the fast.

Thus, it is taught to refrain from certain things during Ramadan.

But on the other hand, it aims to highlight something else.

The month of Ramadan is a camp month in which we withdraw our bodies but prioritize our souls; it is a month of training.

We strive to nourish our soul by withdrawing our body.

The element that nurtures the soul is also expressed as being based on nourishment from the Quran.

So, it was revealed in the month of Ramadan so that the Quran could guide people directly in that verse,

The pilgrimage is seen as a reset of the sins from our life before the pilgrimage.

Prayer is seen as an act of getting rid of the sins committed until the previous prayer time.

It highlights the aspect of programming the future beyond a retrospective cleansing activity and its consequences.

For example, at the end of verse 183 of Surah Al-Baqarah, which states that fasting is obligatory for Ramadan,

Perhaps you will become righteous.
